Bank Healthcare Assistant St Julia’s Hospice, Hayle

We are currently recruiting for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team at St Julia’s Hospice.

Our purpose is to make every day the best day possible for our patients and their families in Cornwall.

 

Working as part of a friendly team, our charity offers a warm, welcoming, well-equipped workplace within a supportive working environment with an enthusiastic and committed team.

The post holder will be involved in the daily activities of patient care and assist in providing a high standard of specialist palliative care to patients and their families.  For this role you will possess a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in healthcare, or equivalent.

Working as a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will need to remain flexible to cover staff holidays and sickness and work additional hours as required. Palliative care experience would be an advantage.

We are a 24/7 Cornish healthcare charity that provides end of life support for people with terminal illnesses. Our staff and volunteers care for patients and their families, carers and friends at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell, St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle, through our Community Services and where appropriate, in people’s own homes and in local care homes.

We have 30 retail outlets across the whole of Cornwall and all members of our team play an important role in supporting our services. We provide a supportive working environment by focusing on relationships through careful listening to, understanding, empathising with, and supporting our people.
